I started fishing

It started off at the Haymarket Bridge in Boston when I was about 10 years old. This old steel bridge is now replaced with a much better pedestrian bridge in the shadows of the Zakim bridge and the TD Garden. With no direction other than borrowing my friends rod. We would go to the underside of the bridge and try to catch pogies, a bait fish. We cut up the fish, bait it and cast it out. Trying to copy other anglers. We did witness big bluefish being caught. It was a memorable time. The bluefish run happens every year. Unfortunately, I was not that lucky constantly came up empty. But it was fun being in the spot.
